WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao is open to doing whatever is possible to reach an agreement for a 2015 mega-fight with WBC/WBA champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. Pacquiao has no issue with Mayweather getting top billing, walking in first or even getting more money in the financial terms, according to Pacquiao's business manager Eric Pineda.
"The talks are already going on. It is more of what the fans want. It's not about the pay [split]. That's the least of his concerns [with a Mayweather deal]," Pineda told AFP.
Pineda declined to discuss the amounts of money involved, but Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank is confident each fighter would by far get their highest paydays. Arum speculated that Mayweather could make as a much as $80 million dollars in the match, based on the money involved.
Following Saturday's dominating win over Chris Algieri, who went down six times in the contest, Pacquiao stated - "It's been a long time since I've been wanting this fight, it has to happen."
