An opponent has been named for Zab Judah's first fight in nearly two years. The former two-division champ will face Colombia's Hevinson Herrera on September 10 at The Space in Westbury (Long Island), New York.

Judah (42-9, 29KOs) confirmed his comeback plans earlier this month, a move that includes his signing a co-promotional agreement with Greg Cohen Promotions

“I am excited to be working with Zab Judah and David Schuster (of Winner Take All Productions, based in New York) and being able to bring such a stacked card to the Space at Westbury, said Cohen. We have a male superstar in Zab and a female superstar in Amanda Serrano on one show, plus some top contenders in action and some local up-and-comers. It's a terrific event and I'm proud to put the GCP stamp on it.”

The show will air on CBS Sports Network.

At his peak, Judah was among the best in the super lightweight and weltwerweight divisions. Four separate title reigns spanned the two weight classes, including his run as World welterweight champion with a 9th round knockout of Cory Spinks in their Feb. '05 rematch.

He has since fallen on hard times, barely above .500 in his past 16 fights. His ring return comes on the heels of back-to-back losses in 2013, dropping decisions to Danny Garcia and Paul Malignaggi at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Still, Judah—who turns 38 in October—believes he still has plenty left to offer the sport, hence the latest comeback tour.

Herrera (18-11-1, 12KOs)—a Colombian slugger now based in the Miami region—last fought in July, suffering a 3rd round stoppage loss to Gilberto Gonzalez in their Fox Deportes-televised headliner.

Additional bouts on the show:
  • Brooklyn's Amanda Serrano (24-1, 18 KOs) of Brooklyn will face South Carolina's Angel Gladney (8-11, 6 KOs) in the evening's co-feature, a scheduled six-round lightweight bout;
