Zab Judah Will Be Kept Very Busy, Says Cohen

It was announced recently that Greg Cohen Promotions had signed welterweight Zab Judah to a promotional contract. For the 38 year old Judah, it's one last chance to get back to the mountain of the sport in what has been an accomplished - if up and down - career.

Judah, who has not fought since December of 2013, when he lost a lopsided decision to Paulie Malignaggi, will be active in the upcoming months.

"We're going to get Zab in the ring immediately," said Greg Cohen."We have him scheduled for September 10th at the Space in Westbury, Long Island (New York). It's going to be a televised event and right now we're working on opponents. We're then looking to put Zab in, shake off the rust and this is going to be the start of his journey to a sixth world title and we're really excited."

After that, there could be quick turn around.

Cohen stated - "If thing so the way as planned, he'll fight in October and then after the new year, the gloves are off and we'll look to fight at the world-class level, going after a world title or a Manny Pacquiao. We're really looking to make big fights for Zab after the new year."

Judah began his career in 1996 and has won portions of the junior welterweight and welterweight titles and has faced some of the biggest names in the sport such as Kostya Tsyzu, Cory Spinks, Demarcus Corley, Floyd Mayweather, Mikey Ward, Lucas Matthysse, Joshua Clottey, Danny Garcia and Amir Khan, among others. Currently, his record stands at 42-9 (29 KO's).

Zab should retire...there has to be other ways for Judah to get paid. Losing to the karate kid was bad.
