Former WBA world heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev (50-2, 34KOs) has denied most of the media speculation about a possible ring return in the summer. Valuev has not fought since a decision loss to David Haye in November 2009. The "Russian Giant" has gone through a series of surgeries to correct numerous injuries.
"It's all rumors. At the moment I can not return to the ring for medical reasons. In Germany, I underwent several operations and I still need time to recover. Right now it is difficult to say when I'm able to resume full training. Therefore, all of the stories regarding my return to the ring are not true," Valuev said in his SportBox blog.
