Hall of Fame trainer Ignacio "Nacho" Beristain has backed Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez to come away with an impressive win in his light heavyweight debut.
Canelo will jump in weight by two full divisions, to challenge Sergey Kovalev for the WBO light heavyweight title.
The contest takes place on November 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Another big fight for Canelo would be a trilogy fight with Gennady Golovkin, who last week secured a tough decision win over Sergiy Derevyanchenko at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The trilogy fight is a possibility for next year, in May of September.
Based on their most recent performances, Nacho believes Canelo's physical attributes will not only push him forward to a win over Kovalev and Golovkin. He also believes Canelo will score knockout victories over both opponents.
"Canelo and his team have worked well. He throws combinations and boxes well, because that is what he needs to do for the opponents he's facing. I think Canelo beats [Golovkin], I think he could even achieve a technical knockout, because he is young and strong," Nacho said to ESPN Deportes.
"As with Kovalev, to beat Canelo you need speed and technique, and Kovalev has neither one nor the other. Kovalev is a strong fighter but Canelo is going to take away all of his punches and I don't doubt that he can even knock him out, and if he doesn't knock him out, he will put a [a beating on him]."
