Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno (33-2-1, 12KOs) arrived back home in Panama and announced that he plans to return to the bantamweight division to defend his WBA "super title." Moreno had received special permission to move up in weight to challenge WBC champion Abner Mares last Saturday in Los Angeles. Moreno lost a twelve round unanimous decision and doesn't plan to stick around at 122-pounds.

Pursuant to the agreement with the WBA, Moreno will have to face the winner of Koki Kameda (28-1, 17KOs) vs. Hugo Ruiz (31-1, 28KOs), who battle for the Japanese boxer's "regular" WBA bantamweight title on December 4th in Osaka. Moreno had previously told the WBA that he would fight the winner if he decided to return to 118-pounds.
