Eric Molina (25-3, 19KOs) has promised to go for the kill if he gets IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (17-0, 17KOs) in trouble on December 10th at the Manchester Arena.

After weeks of speculation, their fight was officially announced on Tuesday to headline a big Sky Box Office event.

Molina has vowed not to hesitate like he did last year, when he rocked WBC champion Deontay Wilder in the third round. Molina felt that he wasn't aggressive enough, which allowed Wilder to recover. Wilder scored numerous knockdown until he put Molina away for good in the ninth round.

 

Joshua was rocked last year in the second round of his December fight with Dillian Whyte. He also recovered and knocked Whyte out in the seventh. Molina is confident that his punches will be much harder than anything Joshua has ever felt in his career.

Molina is coming of a career-high win, when he traveled over to Poland knocked out former two division world champion Tomasz Adamek back in April.

"I can definitely say one thing, I will hit AJ harder than he's ever been hit," Molina exclusively told Sky Sports.  "That's going to happen on December 10. I will hit him harder than he's ever been hit and if he dances, and I can get him hurt, I will not sit back like I sat back with Wilder. I'll have to attack, if I have him hurt. I'm going for the kill."

"This is about another American champion, but this is also about the first Mexican heavyweight champion. The thing that people fail to realise, is that when you put that on the line, you get a fighter who is willing to go through hell to make history. That's what I will bring to the table. Whatever anybody has seen on me or hasn't seen on me, that night they will see that particular fighter that is willing to do that, to make history. This is my dream to fight in the UK. I'm looking forward to visiting, I'm looking forward to fighting, and I'm looking forward to upsetting their superstar."

"This is going to be the toughest fight of his career and only because I'm that fighter that has gone better throughout my career. I've gone better every fight, up until my last fight, up until now. He'll fight the toughest Molina that anybody has ever seen, just like Adamek fought the toughest Molina that was seen before him."
