Former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is a big fan of today's heavyweight boxers - including WBC champion Tyson Fury, unified champion Anthony Joshua, and former beltholder Deontay Wilder.

Tyson admits he's a bit biased in the direction of Fury - who was named after 'Iron Mike' himself.

"I like him a lot. I take pride that he’s named after me. I really appreciate that. I was really grateful and humbled when I first learned he was named after me. [His fighting style] does well for him. I think it’s good," Tyson told The Sportsman.

He believes the British heavyweights, like Fury and Joshua, are usually in top form and very hungry to win - which is why they control all of the heavyweight titles at the moment.

"They’re in the best shape possible to be in and getting the most out of this sport as they can. I don’t think [they are too nice]. Not as far as attitude and will to win. These guys are really desperate to win," Tyson said.

Last  month, Tyson was ringside when Fury stopped Wilder in seven rounds to capture the WBC heavyweight title at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Wilder is now going to face Fury in a trilogy fight, potentially on a date in July - which Tyson has no issue with. He feels Wilder is making the right move, by trying get immediate payback.

"He has to go right back in, right away. Get yourself healthy, your head right, and get back in the ring," Tyson said.

Should Fury and Joshua win their upcoming fights, there is a possibility they could face each other at the end of the year in a full division unification. Tyson is on the fence regarding which of them would win.

"I don’t know [who would win that fight], but I’d like to see that happen, though. That’d be a great money fight too," Tyson said.
