UFC two division champion Conor McGregor believes that securing an upset victory in two weeks will send Floyd Mayweather in a downward spiral that will cripple any future his career may have had.

McGregor believes that he destroyed the career of Aldo after knocking him out in only 13 seconds - after Aldo had been undefeated for nearly ten years.

While that fight was in the cage, McGregor will face Mayweather in a boxing ring on August 26th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

McGregor points out how Aldo was a huge favorite and a dominating force that was crushed - and he plans to do the same to Mayweather.

“Wait until you see when (Mayweather) falls – how you all write him off after this and he becomes like Aldo,” McGregor said. “Aldo was him at one stage and he just becomes nothing.”

Mayweather, undefeated with a 49-0 record, is 40 years old and coming back from a two year retirement stint. Despite all that, Mayweather is a tremendous favorite to not only win, but to win a very one-sided performance.

“I don’t know how many times they’ve labeled me a joke,” McGregor said. “‘He’s a joker. What weight is he moving; what weight is he hitting; what weight is this? He doesn’t stand a chance.’

“And then the poor guy that’s in there with me has to deal with it, and then he’s unconscious and it’s on to the next one. And then there’s more questions and more doubts. This will just continue until I call it a day. I’m going to spark (Mayweather). I’m going to come forward and go at him. He’s saying he’s going to come at me. Let’s see who takes the first back step. That will be the first win or loss in the fight: Who takes a back step first? I don’t know how many times I’ve shocked the world right now (but) I’m going to shock it once again.”
