Another case of trainers playing musical chairs. The Grand Rapids Press is reporting that Jeff Mayweather, recent trainer of WBO heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs, has agreed to train undefeated Sultan Ibragimov for his upcoming bout with Briggs.

Mayweather was training Briggs for his fight with Sergei Liakhovich, but left after running into problems in the camp. Mayweather said that too many people were telling Briggs what to do, and he was suppossed to be the man in charge. He feels that Ibragimov has a good chance to win the title.

"It's a great situation," Mayweather said. "Ibragimov knows I'm going to be the man in charge, he works hard, and I think he has a great chance to beat Shannon."

Jeff Mayweather is the uncle of pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr., and brother of Roger and Floyd Sr.
