On Thursday, June 13, in a room set aside by "TMT Japan" (The Money Team) from Tokyo, Japan - there was a press conference held in which Floyd Mayweather Jr., 42, personally attended after arriving to Japan yesterday on his private plane from the US.
Before starting this press conference, Mayweather, made a request for nobody to ask him any questions about the recent rumor that he would return to the ring for a rematch with Manny Pacquiao.
Mayweather Jr. said "I'm already retired from boxing."
Mayweather Jr. refuses to return to boxing as a fighter, but, hints at the possibility that he is going to have another exhibition in October or December of this year in Japan.
On the New Year's Eve in the city of Saitama, Japan, Mayweather took part in an exhibition with Japanese sensation Tenshin Nasukawa, a MMA fighter (Mixed Martial Arts) and kickboxer, whom Mayweather knocked out in the first round under normal boxing regulations.
With a view to his second exhibition in Japan, Mayweather said that - "Negotiations are progressing, although it is not yet official, my opponent could be a kickboxer or an MMA fighter.
"It's natural that I come up with this idea, because I'm buying a house in Tokyo so I don't have to repeat the long trips between the United States and Japan."
The first thing that attracts his attention and interest is the casino business in Japan.
The great ambition of Mayweather is to establish a hotel in Japan to win big money through the casino business. Mayweather has proposed the idea of building a casino hotel in Okinawa.
Now pushing the brand of TMT Japan, Mayweather received a courtesy visit from three boxers representing Japan, the triple world champion Kazuto Ioka, the current undefeated flyweight world champion Hiroto Kyoguchi, the bantamweight champion of the OPBF (Federation of Boxing of East and Pacific) and Japan, Miyo Yoshida.
Kazuto Ioka and Hiroto Kyoguchi and Miyo Yoshida will star in the triple world championship boxing event that will take place on June 19 in the city of Chiba, Japan, where Ioka will compete for a vacant WBO world championship with Filipino Aston Palicte.
