Floyd Mayweather Jr. has buried the hatchet with close friend Adrien Broner. The two fighters traded words last month  and things got very personal with the verbal bombs flying from both sides.

The war of words first began when Broner (31-2, 23KOs) did a video interview where he stated "f*** The Money Team" - which is Mayweather's group of friends and fighters contracted under his promotional banner. Broner was reacting to some of the verbal jabs being thrown in his direction by future challenger Ashley Theophane (39-6-1, 11KOs) and other members of the TMT banner.

Mayweather is trying to put together a fight between Broner and Theophane for the end of January in Atlanta. Broner captured the WBA junior welterweight title in October.

Whatever differences the two of them were going through, those problems appear to be resolved.

"Adrien Broner, he goes through certain phases. He' s probably upset with someone from the team. Do I think he really meant [f*** The Money Team], absolutely not. I look forward to doing.....my fighter asked me, from the UK....Adrien Broner is fighting my fighter in the ATL. We doing a big show in the ATL at the end of January. He asked me if he will be fighting Adrien for the title," Mayweather stated during an interview with DJ Whoo Kid.

"Adrien Broner has a lot to learn. I was young once, but I didn't have a mentor like Floyd Mayweather to guide me in the right way. I had to learn the hard way. My thing is this, I want to help Adrien Broner grow and all these young fighters grow."
