MIAMI BEACH, Florida – Floyd Mayweather simply smiled Thursday when he was asked if beating Logan Paul on Sunday night will lead to facing his younger brother in another exhibition.

That’s the logical consensus now that Jake Paul has signed a contract to fight exclusively on Showtime Pay-Per-View, the platform with which Mayweather has become ridiculously rich since February 2013. The 44-year-old Mayweather didn’t actually address whether he would face Jake Paul, assuming they win their upcoming bouts.

The retired five-division champion instead commended the provocative Paul brothers for expanding their brands beyond social media. Mayweather claimed, though, that the Paul brothers are merely acting like professional boxers, despite their continuous claims to the contrary.

“Man, once again, these guys have done good,” Mayweather told a group of reporters during a press event at the venue once known as the Versace Mansion. “I take my hat off to these guys. They have done good to fool the public about being some real fighters. Man, he gonna find out Sunday, man. This is the truth. This is real, man. And I ain’t gotta use my ‘A’ game. I ain’t gotta use my ‘A’ game, my ‘B’ game, my ‘C’ game. I can use my ‘Z’ game. I don’t even gotta hit him hard, and the result’s gonna be the same. That’s all I keep saying all day. That’s what’s gonna happen, man. That’s what I do.”

Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs), even at his advanced age, still can’t believe that there is a faction of the paying public, however small it may be, that actually believes his 26-year-old opponent can upset him in their eight-round exhibition at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.

Logan Paul can weigh whatever he wants when they enter the ring Sunday night, as long as he officially weighs in at no more than 190 pounds Saturday. The 6-feet-3 Paul might out-weigh Mayweather by more than 50 pounds on fight night, but Mayweather contends that this enormous weight disadvantage won’t matter because he is such a better boxer than the inexperienced Paul.

Jake Paul, meanwhile, was busy promoting his own fight later Thursday afternoon at a gym near the Versace Mansion. Jake Paul (3-0, 3 KOs) and former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley promoted their own upcoming Showtime Pay-Per-View event at the famed 5th Street Gym, where Muhammad Ali and numerous other legendary fighters once trained.

Showtime hasn’t announced the date for its Jake Paul-Woodley pay-per-view event, but it is expected to be scheduled for some time in August.
