WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. has offered a reward in a bid to track down the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash which killed a friend of his, a well-known celebrity jeweler in New York.

Aron 'Eric' Aranbayev, a co-owner of diamond merchants Rafaello & Co., died on Monday after he was hit by a car close to his home in Queens on Sunday night. The unkown driver took off following the hit.

During his career, Aranbayev worked with stars including reality TV regular Khloe Kardashian, rappers Jay Z and Sean 'Diddy' Combs, and Mayweather.

The pound-for-pound king has now contributed $10,000 to a reward fund for information about the incident. His contribution takes the total reward to $50,000.
