According to Floyd Mayweather Jr., the media has exaggerating the televised blowout between him and father, Floyd Mayweather Sr. The father and son duo had a memorable war of words on the first episode of HBO's reality series "Mayweather-Ortiz 24/7."

They had a difference of opinion over which trainer helped Floyd Jr. become of one of the best fighters in the world. Obviously Floyd Sr. believes the credit should fall on his shoulders, but Floyd Jr. disagrees, and credits his uncle/current trainer Roger Mayweather.

"My relationship with my dad or anyone else, is no different than nobody else's relationship. A child may have a disagreement with their mother or father, when they're young, and the mother or father may discipline their child by saying 'you know what, go to your room.' But when they get older, then can speak their mind. There are no hard feelings towards my father. We had a disagreement. Things happen. I wish him nothing but the best and hope that he's still working with his fighters because me and my uncle are still working together. This is a lifetime relationship and we are going to get the job done," Mayweather said.

Mayweather returns on September 17th against WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas
