Floyd Mayweather Jr. respects the skills and the impressive runs of the Klitschko brothers, Wladimir and Vitali, but he doesn't believe their competition is physically capable of winning. Their size and strength, combined with skill, is too much for the current crop of heavyweights, says Mayweather.
But, if former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis was still around, Mayweather would pick him to beat both brothers. Lewis retired not long after his sixth round TKO win over Vitali Klitschko, which is still the last time the older brother tasted defeat. Vitali has gone 11-0 since the loss to Lewis, and stopped 9 of those opponents.
"I think the Klitschkos are two helluva fighters. It's just they have much more experience and they are much, much larger and bigger than the rest of the competition. Lennox Lewis, if he was there, I think he could beat both. I know he fought one, but I think he could of beat both," Mayweather said.
Mayweather returns on Saturday night against WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
