Former five division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. has no position on the continued career of Roy Jones Jr.

Mayweather, who turns 39-years-old in February, retired back in September after a 19-year career.

Jones, who is 46-years-old, has been fighting since 1989 and captured four divisional titles during that period.

At one time Jones was considered by almost everyone as the top pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

Two weeks ago Jones was brutally knocked out in four rounds in Russia by former WBO cruiserweight champion Enzo Maccarinelli. After the loss, Jones said he was open to the idea of fighting again and refused to entertain retirement.

That said, Mayweather has a lot of praise that his manager, Al Haymon, assisted him with making the right investments to walk away from the sport with more than enough money to take care of his family. Many believe Jones is continuing to fight due to financial issues - which the future Hall of Famer denies is the case.

"I don't got nothing bad to say about any one. I wish Roy Jones nothing but the best. I'm saying, I'm retired," Mayweather told BoxingScene.com. "I just have to thank Al Haymon and my team, because I made some real, real smart investments where I'm able to take care of my family."
