Numerous Mexican greats are very eager to watch this coming Saturday's mega-fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs) and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs). The fight takes place on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

EDGAR SOSA. - "It's a great fight. We're going to see a young man with desire, with the great heart like all Mexicans, who is going to face an opponent who is very experienced, elusive, defensive, but we might see a big surprise. I'm confident that Saul has the necessary condition to press the the action of the fight with Mayweather and not allow him to do what he wants."

DANIEL ZARAGOZA. - "The time has come for Canelo. Simple logic is that Mayweather wins, but as a Mexican I also expect the upset. Saul, If he wins, will be placed among the best Mexican athletes such as Hugo Sanchez, Fernando Valenzuela, Julio Cesar Chavez and Juan Manuel Marquez, from my perspective, among the best."

PIPINO CUEVAS. - "I see a very difficult commitment for Canelo. I didn't like the announcement that one week prior he was weighing [5-pounds under the 152 catch-weight limit]. I was a fighter, and that excess weight is a lot. Mayweather is the favorite."

CARLOS ZARATE. - "I sense that on Saturday we will be surprised because Canelo will win. Mayweather is not invincible. Mexicans a very capable of pulling things off and much more."

JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ. - "A very difficult fight for Canelo, but we can not rule him out. His youth can push him forward."

MARIANA JUAREZ. - "I see a very difficult fight for Canelo Alvarez to win. Mayweather is still the best in the world."

HUGO "Cuatito" RUIZ. - "I think Canelo will cause an upset, and he will win. The weight is going to favor him. Mayweather is used to beating smaller opponents, fighting at lighter weight, but now it's the reverse. Saul is a middleweight coming down to 154 pounds and Floyd is a welterweight coming up from 147"

JHONNY GONZALEZ. - "As a Mexican I hope that Canelo will win, but it's going to be very hard."
