After the sell-out success of the ‘Double Trouble’ title show, Mitchell Promotions have announced their next action-packed bill.

Clifton Mitchell, the former top heavyweight contender, hands five fighters their pro debuts at Hermitage Leisure Centre in Whitwick, Leicestershire on Sunday, September 25.

Leicester left-hooker Martin Concepcion, who has battled for British and Commonwealth belts, tops the bill and he’s joined on the show by three fighters who have the same amateur grooming.

Concepcion, along with former champions Tony Sibson, Chris Pyatt, Tony McKenzie and Tim Wood, all learned to box at Belgrave Amateur Boxing Club and Tommy Ward, an exciting cruiserweight power puncher, and Sheldon ‘Don’t Blink’ Purdy both won national honours for the famous Leicester club.

Purdy won the ABA Novice Class A light-flyweight championship in January and Ward won , ending the club’s five-year wait for a national title-holder since Ward won the Junior ABA title and Four Nations gold - with a 10-second knock out !

Simon Henry, a stylish middleweight from Belgrave ABC, also makes his debut on the show, along with Derby light-heavyweight Irfan Iqbal and Andrew Mitchell, a cruiserweight from nearby Loughborough.

Fight fans will remember Leicester muscle man Jahmaine Smyle reaching the semi finals of the super-middleweight ‘Prizefighter’ in March and he is also in action.

Smyle, trained by former world middleweight champion Chris Pyatt, bashed Carl Dilks in front of the Sky Sports’ cameras an upset before being edged out by Tobias Webb in a thriller.

Leicester ticket-seller Ryan Hookway aims to extend his unbeaten record and continue his climb up the welterweight rankings on the show.
