Originally the bout was booked as the main event of last week's pay-per-view event that was put together by Golden Boy Promotions, but had to be scrapped at almost the last second due to Jimrex Jaca's inability to gain a visa.
According to scribe Dan Rafael, Juan Manuel Marquez (45-3-1, 34 KOs) will now defend his WBO interim featherweight title against Jaca on the November 25 telecast of HBO's HBO's "Boxing After Dark" card.
The original bout scheduled was Jesus Chavez against Julio Diaz, which fell apart after Chavez refused to take the fight over monetary issues.
If Scott Harrison is unable to get out of a Spanish jail in time to properly get ready for his December 9 defense of the WBO featherweight title against Nicky Cook in London, Marquez will be upgraded to full champion status and face Cook.
The rumored co-feature pits Bernard's nephew, 140-pounder Demetrius Hopkins (24-0-1, 10 KOs), against Brazilian bomber Antonio Mesquita (33-0, 26 KOs).
