Four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez (55-6-1, 40KOs) is used to being the underdog in most of his major fights. On October 12th at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Marquez will enter the ring as the favorite when he faces undefeated WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (30-0, 12KOs). Both fighters hold 2012 victories over Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao. Marquez continues to work on his speed and throwing rapid punches in bunches to combat Bradley.

"We'll be very well prepared. I've been the underdog in other fights and now I'm the favorite, but for me that is not important. The important thing is to train and do well on October 12. [Me being the favorite] is due to the fans but I have to do my thing in the ring. We are working on having good speed. Bradley is a strong, fast fighter. I've always said that that you can beat a fast fighter with speed. We are working on that and we'll be well prepared for the 12th of October. I can't say if this fight will end by knockout. We do our work, we will fight with intelligence combined with aggressive punching. If the knockout will come, it will come, but we are going to be careful because many times when you try to hunt for a knockout - the only thing you seem to find is your opponent's fists," Marquez said.
