Former champion Antonio Margarito is not worried about Miguel Cotto's promise for a "different ending" on December 3rd at New York's Madison Square Garden. Margarito expects to finish Cotto off even quicker in their long awaited rematch. In the first meeting, back in 2008, Margarito started slow and fell behind on the cards but he rallied in the late rounds to stop Cotto in the eleventh.
"[Cotto] can say whatever he wants. I already showed him once, at welterweight, and I'll beat him at junior middleweight even quicker. Cotto didn't have punching power at welterweight, now [at junior middleweight] he has even less. Actually, I do not understand why he wanted to fight me at 152 pounds if he's the champion at 154. What are you afraid of? I don't know if he wanted to take advantage of me, but I'll be fine. The fight was agreed upon for 153 pounds and I'll be fine," Margarito told Carlos Gonzalez.
