Last week, Marcos Maidana (35-5, 31KOs) resurfaced in the United States to support his younger brother Fabian, who was headlining his first Premier Boxing Champions card.

Maidana has three lucrative paydays in a span of year, with a huge win over Adrien Broner and back to back Showtime Pay-Per-View fights with Maidana.

Maidana's trainer, Robert Garcia, will be working the corner of younger brother Mikey Garcia this Saturday night when he faces Elio Rojas at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Like Maidana, Garcia is coming off a very long layoff that lasted well over two years time.

After this weekend's duties are over, Robert plans to sit down with Maidana and figure out if the Argentinean puncher is planning to continue in the sport of boxing. Despite the long layoff, Maidana has never officially announced his retirement but he's hinted at the possibility of never fighting again.

"After Mikey's fight, the plan is to sit down with him and see what he wants to do. If he mentions he wants to return to fight then we are more than happy to be a part of it. But he still hasn't mentioned nothing to us, I don't know if he's mentioned something to other people but to us [he's said nothing]. As soon as he gives us the word we will be ready to go," Robert Garcia told BoxingScene.com.
