Fighter of the Decade" Manny Pacquiao has arrived in Los Angeles to continue the hard grind leading up to his fourth showdown with Juan Manuel Marquez at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on December 8.

Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz told the Manila Standard minutes after the Pacquiao entourage arrived in Los Angeles that "everything is fabulous. Manny was ready to go even before we left the Philippines."

He said Pacquiao had been working out for some two weeks in his hometown of General Santos City and was focused in training, jogging early every morning, working out in the gym of longtime friend and mentor Ray Golingan and putting on a spectacular performance in sparring against welterweight Anthony "Rocky" Marcial who has an impressive record of 17 knockouts in 18 wins with only one defeat.

Pacquiao displayed remarkable hand-speed and vicious punching power as he hammered Marcial and forced him to quit during their sparring sessions with Marcial conceding that he couldn't match the speed of Pacquiao who everytime he slipped a punch would throw several from different angles.

Koncz told us that Pacquiao will begin training at the Wild Card Gym of celebrated trainer Freddie Roach on Monday, with Pacquiao himself indicating he would surprise Roach with his condition.

Koncz said Pacquiao "will strategize" with Roach on how to beat Marquez convincingly and erase the controversy over their last fight which Pacquiao won by a split decision after winning their second fight by a majority decision and being held to a draw in their initial encounter despite dropping Marquez three times in the opening round.
