Former two-division world champion Paulie Malignaggi broke down a potential fight between British welterweight rivals Amir Khan and Kell Brook.
Khan (29-3, 19KOs) made his American debut against Malignaggi in 2010, stopping the "Magic Man" in the eleventh round. Malignaggi, who is part of Showtime's broadcast team, was ringside last month when Brook (33-0, 22KOs) captured the IBF welterweight title with a victory over Shawn Porter at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.
At the moment, Khan vs. Brook is arguably the most anticipated domestic fight in the UK.
"It's a tough fight to predict. They both have advantages. Amir is a very tough guy to win rounds against because he's so busy and he knows how to keep his range very well. At times when he does rush in, he's susceptible to those wide shots. When he's been caught it's all been by wide shots. Amir rarely loses rounds," Malignaggi told BoxingScene.com.
"Although Kell is a very good boxer, I think it's going to take Kell walking him into a big hook for Kell to win the fight. Otherwise Amir may be able to outwork him like he's outworked a lot of other guys. It depends on who could maneuver the fight in the direction it needs to go. Its a good skilled fight, a good tactical fight. I think that will be the decider of who wins that fight."
