Frisco, Texas - World rated and undefeated contenders Jessie Magdaleno of Las Vegas and Casey Ramos of Austin, Texas, will headline a Top Rank doubleheader at the Dr. Pepper Arena on Saturday, August 1.

Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank made the announcement. The fight card will be on Top Rank's Solo Boxeo Tecate boxing series on UniMas.

Magdaleno, 21-0, 15 KOs, will take on Rey Perez, 19-6, 4 KOs, of the Philippines in a 10 round super bantamweight bout.  Ramos, 19-0, 5 KOs, faces Daniel Evangelista, Jr. of Mexico City. Evangelista Jr. has a record of 17-5-1, 13 KOs. The super featherweight bout is scheduled for eight rounds.

Magdaleno's trainer is Ismael Salas who has worked with many world champions. Team Magadaleno is training in Las Vegas.  Magaldeno and his older brother Diego are managed by Frank Espinoza. Jessie is rated WBO #1 at 126 pounds and IBF #4, WBA #4 at 122 pounds.

"This is such an important fight for me at the Dr. Pepper Arena," Jessie said. "I need to win  to keep my drive alive to fight for a world title."

Ramos, who boxes in the 130 pound division, is called The Wizard. He is managed by his uncle, John Ramos, and trained by his father Rick Ramos.

"I'm pretty versatile in the ring. I can do a lot, actually," Casey said. "But we're not going to under-estimate anyone when I get into the ring on August 1. We're going in is as if my opponent is the best in the world. There is a lot of stake when you walk into the big ring."

There will be seven bouts on the Top Rank card.
