Luke Campbell’s return has been pushed back.

The Olympic champion suffered his first loss as a professional in December, live on Sky Sports Box Office, and had been set to make his return back on the pay-per-view platform next month.

Campbell (12-1, 10 KOs) was slated to make his comeback in a “make or break” fight on the undercard of the world super bantamweight title unification showdown between Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg on February 27 at Manchester Arena.

But ‘Cool Hand’ has been forced to wait a little longer before getting back on the horse and is now set to lace-up the gloves again on March 26 at Sheffield Arena as part of the supporting cast to Kell Brook.

Brook, the IBF welterweight champion, makes a mandatory defence of his crown against Canada’s Kevin Bizier and the 28-year-old, who was dropped en-route to losing on points at the hands of Yvan Mendy on December 12 at London’s O2 Arena, has been chosen as one of the sidekicks.

An opponent for Campbell has yet to be confirmed, but his promoter, Eddie Hearn, has told Boxing Scene that he will be in “as big a fight as the last one, probably bigger.”

Elsewhere on the card, there is a clash of Sheffield heavyweights as Richard Towers and Dave Allen meet in a British title eliminator, while Andy Townend defends his English super featherweight title against Craig Poxton.

Further details surrounding the show, which will include more championship contests, are expected to be revealed in due course.
