British star Amir Khan is pushing to get a position on the Floyd Mayweather-Marcos Maidana undercard on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Khan (28-3, 19KOs) is ready to make his welterweight debut in search of facing Mayweather later in the year.

Former welterweight champion Luis Collazo (35-5, 18KOs) has been mentioned as a potential opponent. He has Khan at the top of his list and waits for a contract to face him.

"We still have not been sent a contract or anything, but I hope they can set up a fight against Khan. My interest is to fight with whoever. If not Khan, then I'll look at other alternatives. Now I'm the fighter that everyone wants to avoid. They think that because I'm older, that I can be easy, but every time they realize I'm difficult and dangerous. If not Khan, then maybe Alexander or Thurman," Collazo told Carlos Gonzalez.
