There are still some questions to be answered in regards to the fight that has been verbally agreed to between Vasyl Lomachenko and Nicholas Walters paramount among them is just weight will this fight be contested at?

Currently, Lomachenko (5-1, 3KOs) is the WBO featherweight belt-holder. Walters (26-0-1, 21KOs) was the WBA titlist last year before he lost his belt on the scales before his fight versus Miguel Marriago last June. He has since moved up to the super featherweight class where he out-pointed Jason Soso over ten rounds on December 19th.

To show his willingness to take this fight, Lomachenko is even ready to move up to 130 to make it happen - if Walters is unable to get down to 126. When Lomachenko tried to make a fight last year with fellow two-time Olympic gold medal winner Guillermo Rigondeaux, the fight fell apart over the weight - as Rigondeaux refused to meet Lomachenko at 126.

Egis Klimas, who manages Lomachenko, told BoxingScene.com on Friday afternoon,"We told them we are willing to fight at 126 or 130. We can commit to his weight class or if he's willing to come to 126. We're open to discuss. That doesn't have to be decided right now, we just agreed to the fight.

"From our side if he's not willing to come down to 126 - we're willing to go to 130 just to show an example to (Guillermo) Rigondeaux that if you really wanted to fight you can come up a weight class, it's not really a big deal. If Walters doesn't want to come down to 126, we're willing to come up to 130."
