Hard Rock Stadium, Miami, Florida - Very few observers were expecting Youtube star Logan Paul (0-1 as a pro) to last the full eight round distance with former five division world champion Floyd Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs as a pro).

Because their fight was an exhibition, there was no official winner.

Paul, 26, had his sole fight as a pro in 2019, when he lost a controversial six round decision to Youtube rival KSI.

He held a tremendous size advantage in the fight, in terms of height, reach and 35-pounds of muscle.

The 44-year-old Mayweather retired from the sport in August of 2017, when he stopped Conor McGregor in ten rounds.

Prior to the contest, Mayweather was honest and revealed that he barely trained for the fight.

Despite all of the particulars, a stoppage by Mayweather was the outcome many had predicted.

Paul came out firing punches in the first two rounds, but his stamina was already starting to fade by the third.

Even when he appeared to be dead tired, Paul used his size and strength to avoid taking too much punishment by holding Mayweather whenever necessary.

Paul surprised many at ringside with his ability to withstand several of Mayweather's accurate punches.

"I don't want anyone to tell me anything is impossible ever again," Paul told Showtime Sports. "The fact that I'm in here, with one of the greatest boxers of all time proves that the odds can be beaten.

"I'm 'The Maverick', I go right when they go left. I'm the unorthodox one, I'm the independent one and everyone has it in them. Floyd Mayweather, it was an honor. This is one of the greatest moments of my life. You never know with this guy. I'm going to go home thinking, 'Did Floyd let me survive?'

"This is the coolest thing ever. I'm happy I made it out. He's tough to hit, he's always tough to hit and he's not even that old. Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul 2? I don't know, let me get a little better. Maybe I can end it next time."
