Hard-hitting all-action IBF middleweight champion David Lemieux (34-2, 31 KOs), who is now in the midst of his preparations for an upcoming showdown on October 17 in New York versus Super WBA / IBO / WBC interim champion Gennady Golovkin (33-0, 30 KOs), will have a Ukrainian connection in his camp.
Joining the Lemieux camp will be two rapidly rising Ukrainian young guns – IBF #10 Sergey Derevyanchenko (6-0, 4 KOs), and WBC #15 and member of Ukrainian golden squad Ievgen Khytrov (11-0, 11 KOs). Derevyanchenko is already in the camp, while Khytrov is said to be joining the Canadian bomber.
Meanwhile, according to Ukrainian media, Derevyanchenko will be back in the ring in November for a tune-up fight and then in December for a minor title affair. Khytrov will be back on Oct. 31 in his native city of Krivoy Rog, Ukraine.
