No one had a better view of Saturdays HBO’s Boxing After Dark Card than the network's unofficial judge Harold Lederman. Lederman scored both fights on the telecast wide and in favor for the favorites Nicholas Walters and Felix Verdejo. Both men won decision victories and for Walters the question was where will he be campaigning at in terms of weight class?

Lederman says it might be time for the “Axe Man” to make the move from 126 to 130.

“Nicholas Walters did an excellent job,” Lederman told BoxingScene.com “He was awful big tonight considering he was supposed to be a featherweight. I think he was 145 lbs. when he was in the ring tonight. It’s still too early to speculate but I think 126 is out of the question, 130 maybe and he could even go higher.”

Lederman also feels the winner of the co-feature will be a world champion soon and was very impressed with the young prospect’s performance amid having an injured hand.

“He (Verdejo) came into the ring with some damage to his left hand and he needs surgery, but you could imagine how greater of a performance it would have been,” Lederman said. “He's definitely going to the lightweight champion of the world in the near future”
