WBA cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev is looking to get the best possible sparring for his rematch with Guillermo Jones. Lebedev plans to hold his training camp in Los Angeles for at least two months. Lebedev (25-2, 19KOs) took a severe beating at the hands of Jones in May, and was knocked out in the eleventh round. After the match, Jones (39-3-2, 31KOs) tested positive for a banned substance and the title was returned to Lebedev. The WBA then ordered a rematch.
The two sides are close to an agreement for the rematch and the fight is once again expected to land in Moscow, Russia.
