IBO/WBA 'regular junior middleweight champion Erislandy Lara (21-2-2, 12KOs) is not looking to move up the middleweight division just yet.

He hopes to clean out the junior middleweight division by facing and beating the best fighters in his weight class. The fight he would like most is a rematch with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, who won a close twelve round split decision over Lara last July. Lara is confident he was robbed on the cards and deserves a second fight.

Lara will end his year with a return on November 25th on Florida against former welterweight champion Jan Zaveck. The Cuban fighter was last seen in June when he dominated Devlvin Rodriguez over twelve rounds.

If he is unable to secure a fight with Canelo, then Lara will place his focus on Gennady Golovkin, who holds the WBA/IBO/IBF middleweight titles.

Canelo is not the WBC middleweight champion but fights at 155, which is one pound above Lara weight.

"First of all, I would like to face the best fighters at 154 and clean out the division. I want to see if Canelo will finally give me my rematch - and if that's not possible then of course I would like to come face to face with Triple G. The weight is the least of my concern, I want to face the best," Lara told George Ebro.
