WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko has sent a warning to WBA champion David Haye, that regardless of which Klitschko he selects, his championship run in boxing will be over. Klitschko, and younger brother, WBO/IBO/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko, offered Haye the opportunity to fight either of them. They left the final decision in Haye's hands.
The final decision is sure to favor Wladimir over Vitali, because the elder Klitschko has a mandatory defense scheduled for March against Olympic champion Odlanier Solis. Wladimir has no conflicts but he needs to reach a deal soon. He has until the January 11 to make a deal with Haye or honor a contractual obligation to face Dereck Chisora. Wladimir was going to face Chisora on December 11. He pulled out with an abdominal injury. The contract gives Wladimir 30 days to find a new opponent. If he fails to find a new opponent in 30 days, then he must reschedule the Chisora contest in 180-days.
"For Haye, the decision doesn't matter. He already knows the end will come against either Klitschko brother," Klitschko told Golzka.
