Kid Galahad will be back in action in the summer.
The former British, Commonwealth, WBC International and IBF Youth super-bantamweight champion, who returned last month following an enforced absence due to a drugs ban, has been handed his next date.
Galahad, 26, holds a record of 19-0 (10 KOs) and returned to the ring for the first time since September, 2014 with a stoppage win on April 30 at Wigan Athletic’s DW Stadium.
And after ending the challenge of Simas Volosinas inside four on a Neil Marsh-promoted card, Galahad –– whose real name is Barry Awad –– will be part of the supporting cast to a big world title card in the United Kingdom.
He has been given a spot on the undercard of Tyson Fury’s world heavyweight title rematch against Wladimir Klitschko on July 9 at Manchester Arena.
The show will be televised exclusively live on BoxNation in the UK, HBO in the States and RTL in Germany and Galahad will be flanked by three-weight Irish champion Peter McDonagh as well as Tyson’s cousin Hughie Fury, who will be in over 10 or 12 rounds in what will be his 21st outing.
