British star Amir Khan (28-3, 19KOs) is hoping that a victory over three division world champion Adrien Broner (27-1, 22KOs) will earn him a shot at Floyd Mayweather Jr. (45-0, 26KOs).
Khan was trying to get a shot at Mayweather on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, but the pound-for-pound king selected WBA champion Marcos Maidana for the date.
In his last fight, Broner was dropped twice and lost a twelve round decision to Maidana. Khan wants to earn the Mayweather shot by defeating the same man.
Khan took to his Twitter page, asking Mayweather to match him against Broner on the May 3rd undercard.
"Floyd Mayweather, tell Adrien Broner to fight me on your card and when I beat him, you fight me next," Khan wrote.
