Amir Khan is not concerned with passing up a potential domestic clash with heated rival Kell Brook.
Khan has told reporters that he won't be ringside this Saturday night, when Brook returns against Michael Zerafa in Sheffield.
Earlier this year, Khan signed a multi-fight promotional deal with Eddie Hearn, who also promotes Brook.
According to Khan, the deal with Hearn was motivated by idea of facing Brook in two fights.
But on Monday, BoxingScene.com first reported that Khan was in serious negotiations for a potential fight with WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford on March 23 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Top Rank, who promoted Crawford, have offered Khan a guarantee of $5 million to face Crawford on ESPN Pay-Per-View.
Khan has been warned that if he moves forward with Crawford - he might lose the opportunity to face Brook in the future.
But Khan is not worried about that. He believes - win or lose against Crawford - the fight with Brook will still be around. And if it's not, Khan won't lose any sleep over it.
"I feel like he's always going to be there so I'd rather fight these world champions, fight for these pound-for-pound titles because I know Kell is always going to be there," Khan told Sky Sports News. "And if he's not, he's not."
Khan believes Brook is not really interested in doing their fight.
"He's fooling the public," said Khan. "If he wanted to fight me he could have proved it in a different way by beating some decent opponents and saying 'I'm ready for you'."
Khan would enter the ring as a tremendous underdog against Crawford, after getting dropped and rocked on at least two occasions in his most recent bout against Samuel Vargas - who was carefully selected for Khan's second bout under Hearn.
