WBA regular middleweight champ Gennady Golovkin will defend the title September 17 in Almaty, Kazachstan. The opponent was set, agreements were made but the contract has not yet been signed and the deadline is running out so we have to wait with announcing it.
Promotional Sauerland Event have communicated to media in Denmark that "a deal is close" for Mikkel Kessler to take on WBO super middleweight king Robert Stieglitz for some time now. Yesterday it was even claimed that there was a deal but Sauerland later announced that this was not correct. Stieglitz is promoted by SES.
Michele Aboro, one of the best female fighters in history if not the best, is now training fighters in Shanghai, China. Aboro is from the UK, but fought for Universum in Germany during her professional career while living in the Netherlands.
