Welterweight puncher Keith Thurman (23-0, 21KOs) is interested in facing Marcos Maidana (35-5, 31KOs) next year. Maidana is taking the rest of the year off, after suffering back to back decision losses to Floyd Mayweather Jr., and wants to focus on major fights next year.

"Most definitely [I would like to fight him]. He's not going to fight this year. I'm fighting in November. If he still feels like he wants to compete at the world class level, then I would love to fight him in 2015," Thurman told BoxingScene.com.

Thurman is willing to fight anyone in the division, but blames a healthy line of choices for his inability to get most of the names in the top ten.

"The welterweight division is flooded. They have too many options. If they didn't have so many options they would have to deal with me," Thurman said.
