Katie Taylor has been handed the name of her first professional opponent.
The Irish amateur sensation, 30, made the decision to turn to the paid code last month.
Taylor signed a deal with promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport and is set to embark on a new journey on November 26, at Wembley’s SSE Arena, exclusively live on Sky Sports.
She will come up against Poland’s Karina Kopinska (7-14-3, 2 KOs) over six two-minute rounds.
The contest between the London 2012 Olympic gold medallist, who has also won five world amateur titles and is a six-time European amateur champion, and 27-year-old Kopinska is made at super-featherweight.
Kopinska made her professional debut in April, 2012, has won just two of her past six fights and was last in action on October 29 in Germany.
Her clash against Taylor will be her second English outing. Kopinska lost on points in February, 2014, when she took on Areti Mastrodouka at York Hall, Bethnal Green. She has also faced Christina McMahon in Dundalk, Ireland.
Should Taylor come out successful in her first paid start, she has a second outing booked in two weeks later and is set to feature on the undercard of fellow Olympic champion Anthony Joshua, on December 10, when the Finchley man defends his IBF heavyweight world title against Eric Molina at Manchester Arena.
The card in London, which is billed ‘Big City Dreams’, features the return of former IBF flyweight world title challenger Charlie Edwards and the first defence of the British super-featherweight title by champion Martin J Ward.
Ted Cheeseman faces Lloyd Ellett in an eliminator for the English super-welterweight title and Danny Dignum makes his professional bow on a card which features a super-lightweight crossroads clash between Tommy Coyle and John Wayne Hibbert.
Meanwhile, Ohara Davies challenges Italy’s Andrea Scarpa for the WBC Silver super-lightweight title and the vacant WBC International Silver super-welterweight title is at stake when Ben Hall meets Carson Jones.
Reece Bellotti comes up against Ian Bailey in an English featherweight title eliminator, while Jack Healy features and there is action for Conor Benn, Felix Cash, Craig Richards and Jake Ball.
