WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO lightweight champion Katie Taylor is not paying any attention to the statement from the critics.

Back on June 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, Taylor faced Delfine Persoon in a high stakes unification for all of the world titles.

Persoon took the fight to Taylor and tagged her with a lot of punches throughout the contest.

A lot of observers, including the broadcast panel at DAZN, saw Persoon as the winner.

Some observers had even called it a robbery.

Taylor believes that she did enough to win the fight, by banking points in the early rounds.

There is an outcry for a rematch - and Taylor believes that a rematch will eventually go down - and she hopes that it takes place in the near future.

"The general consensus is that it was a very close fight. But I think that I definitely deserved to win the fight," Taylor told Sky Sports.

"I definitely did enough in the early rounds to win the fight. I'm happy that it did go that way and I'm now sitting here as the undisputed champion and I really couldn't care less what anybody else says.

"The rematch is inevitable at some time and I'm happy to give her a rematch at any point. We'll see what happens over the next few months but I do look forward to the rematch soon."
