WBA/IBF/IBO super lightweight champ Julius Indongo is now staying in Los Angeles with his team to finish preparation for his bout against WBC/WBO/Ring unified titlist Terence Crawford (31-0, 22 KOs). The two are scheduled to face in a historic undisputed world championship fight on August 19 in Lincoln, Nebraska.

During the team’s stay in Los Angeles, Indongo (22-0, 11 KOs) will use Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood to make the finishing touches on his training camp.

On Friday afternoon the Namibian fighter visited the well-known gym for the first time in his life. The owner of the club, however, is no stranger to Julius.

"We know Freddie for a while as he was also with us when Julius knocked out Eduard Troyanovsky in forty seconds in Moscow. Freddie is a great person and we feel blessed to be able to work at his gym. Julius was absolutely impressed by the atmosphere of the place,” said Nestor Tobias, manager of Indongo to BoxingScene.com.

Indongo resonated well with the gym and practised a total of 14 rounds during the session.

"Our training regimen was as usual. We have a strict program we are following. Julius sparred six frames, had four rounds of pad work, two rounds on the heavy bag and two more of shadow boxing,” Nestor described.

Team Indongo is scheduled to hit Omaha next Wednesday. The Namibian’s anticipated bout against Crawford is promoted by Top Rank and televised live by ESPN.
