Julio César Chávez blew away Colombian Evert Bravo with a wild hook to the liver in San Juan de los Lagos, Jalisco.
A perfect hook to the liver that connected by Chávez, sent Bravo down and the fight ended at 1:22 of the first and the return of the "son of the legend" was overwhelming, devastating, and left no doubt.
The former WBC middleweight world champion fought at the short distance. He looked strong, focused and the hook that connected prior to the ending punch was also strong.
The crowd of six thousand fans went wild at the Antonio R. Márquez Stadium in San Juan de los Lagos, Jalisco.
The event was promoted by Zanfer Promotion with the support of the Hotels and Motels Trust of San Juan de Los lagos, the Municipality and Government of Jalisco, Code Jalisco and Mega Jalisco Code events chaired by Héctor García Ninomiya.
Two years and three months of inactivity was not enough to extinguish the desire for glory of the most famous junior who is currently active in boxing. Chavez kept his word and had a spectacular return by knocking out a brave opponent in the first round.
"Boxing is like that, I wanted to give a more spectacle performance for the people, but that hook was well connected and did the job. I am very happy because I prepared myself like never before, I want to return in September against Angulo and then go for the super middleweight title," Chavez Jr. said.
With this victory, Chávez added his 51st victory, 33 of them by way of knockout, in exchange for three losses and one draw.
