Former two division champion Juan Manuel Lopez appeared on the most recent edition of the "The Boxing Lab", BoxingScene.com's official radio show. Lopez has already rebounded from the first loss of his pro career, scoring a knockout victory over Mike Oliver on October 1st in his native Puerto Rico. Lopez was knocked out by Orlando Salido in April.

The Puerto Rican star has mentioned in numerous interviews that he will look to move up to 130 pounds in 2012.  In his latest interview, JuanMa revealed that he may stick around the featherweight division for a while with the Salido rematch being his first target.

"I feel good at 126 and I think that I want to stay here," Lopez told The Boxing Lab.  "I prefer to face Orlando Salido in January or February but there are a lot of options out there."

Even though the Salido fight was his first career loss, Lopez doesn't think he needs to make big changes in the rematch.  He feels with a few minor tweaks he will be able to come out with the victory.

"It was a tough fight.  I just need to concentrate and correct small errors and I will be fine.  My main goal is to get the rematch and get my revenge."

Since defeating Lopez, Salido has defended his title once and is looking to make another defense in December.  Rumors have circulated that Salido is less than enthusiastic at the prospect of facing Lopez again.  Juanma quickly dismissed those rumors by saying - "It is not that Orlando Salido doesn't want the fight. HBO and Showtime didn't have the date or the money to make the fight at the end of the year.  I know that it isn't a matter of him not wanting the fight. Salido wants the fight as much as I do."
