Promoter Eddie Hearn is not ruling out the possibility that Anthony Joshua's next bout will be held on foreign soil.
Joshua was scheduled to defend the IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO belts against mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on June 20 - but the fight was pushed back due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The tentative date has been mentioned as July 25th, but that will unlikely move ahead.
The British Boxing Board of Control have announced that boxing will potentially be back in July - but only under a closed door scenario.
While Joshua has been eager to fight in the UK, Hearn is not in favor of staging his next bout in an empty arena.
Other countries may provide a setting with less restrictions.
Joshua's last ring appearance took place in Saudi Arabia in December, when he won a twelve round unanimous decision to regain his world titles from Andy Ruiz. The British superstar has not fought on UK soil since 2018.
Hearn will closely evaluate all of the options on the table - including a fall date in the Middle East.
"These countries are going to be up and running a lot quicker than our country or America," Hearn told Boxing Social.
"Would Saudi or Dubai or Abu Dhabi be ready to stage an event in September or October? I think 100 percent. If we can't get a live gate for the bigger fights, we have to look elsewhere.
"Do I really want AJ to box behind closed doors? No, not really. No. What he has produced in terms of that live audience, I will be doing everything I can to make sure he doesn't fight behind closed doors. But if this goes on for another six or 12 months, we won't have a choice."
