IBF, IBO, WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs) is currently the biggest draw in boxing.
90,000 fans attended his fight last April, when he stopped Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley in London. A crowd of 78,000 was present when he stopped Carlos Takam at Principality in Cardiff. And the same number is expected for his unification with WBO world champion Joseph Parker on March 31.
The heavyweight division was on life support for several years, but things began to change back in the fall of 2015 - when Tyson Fury shocked Klitschko with a twelve round decision in Germany.
Now the division is flooded with talent that includes Joshua, Parker, Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury, Joe Joyce, Daniel Dubois, Luis Ortiz, Dillian Whyte, Alexander Povetkin, Jarrell Miller and numerous others.
And Joshua believes he is clearly leading the entire division and brought the entire weight class back to the forefront of boxing.
"I'm not worrying about who is behind me," Joshua told Sky Sports.
"I think I'm leading the pack, and that's the way it's going to stay. I'm serious about my business, and they're all welcome. They can all come and watch for sure, and it brings attention to what I'm doing in the UK.
"If I wasn't leading the way, there would be no eyes on the division. The division was dead, and we brought life back to it. We're in position for a reason and I definitely won't let it slip."
According to Joshua, he is now more confident than ever and believes that aspect is going to significantly help him in future bouts.
"Perfection is driving me," Joshua said.
"I have been boxing now 10 years, so I've learned my trade, and I'm starting to become a lot more confident. I had ability before, and now I've got a lot of belief with it, and it's a good mixture.
"If you've got belief, your body does what the mind tells it, so I had the ability but I think I just lacked the confidence, and I feel like I'm definitely gaining a lot of confidence. I'll be able to do a lot more when I step in the ring, because I'm not worried about anything."
