One of the characters most interested in seeing what will happen this Saturday is WBC, WBO junior welterweight champion Jose Ramirez.

Ramirez will be watching when Regis Prograis and Josh Taylor collide in an IBF, WBA lightweight unification at the O2 Arena in London.

A few months back, Ramirez made a statement when he knocked out undefeated Maurice Hooker to unify their two titles.

Ramirez will defend his WBO, WBC titles in February 2020, against mandatory challenger Viktor Postol. During his career run, Postol had once held the WBC title and lost a twelve round decision to Terence Crawford and also lost a very close decision to Josh Taylor.

The winners of both fights could collide in 2020 to create the second undisputed champion in the division so far in the decade, after Crawford did so recently before climbing to the welterweight division in which he currently competes.

If Prograis is unable to get a knockout, then Ramirez expects Taylor to win by decision.

"I think many are underestimating Taylor's boxing, in fact, I think he has a little more of a chance [than most are giving him]. The longer the fight goes on, his boxing is going to give him the victory, he is the type of fighter who has been tested before and has good conditioning," said Ramirez while explaining his battle forecast to ESPN Deportes.

"But on the other hand, we cannot underestimate Prograis, he is a fighter who has a good punch and I think he has the power to win by knockout, so I see a tough fight. But if [Prograis] is not able to secure the knockout, then I think Taylor is going to end up winning on the cards of the judges."
