EBU Silver super middleweight champion Jose Luis Navarro, 15-2 (10 KOs), will make a voluntary defense of the title in Malaga, Spain on August 2. His opponent will be Frenchman Mustapha Zaouche, 16-1 (6 KOs).
The Silver title gives its champion a No. 4 rating with the EBU and Navarro had expected to be named mandatory challenger for the EBU title. However, to everyone’s surprise, ex-champ Kevin Lele Sadjo decided to again go for his old title, now held by Englishman Callum Simpson.
Mandatory challenger for the Silver title is Spaniard Damian Biacho, 18-1 (5 KOs).
