Jono Carroll has been given a date for his next fight.

The southpaw, from Dublin, will add to the Irish contingent at the O2 Arena in London next month.

Super featherweight Carroll is set to feature on the undercard of Anthony Joshua’s three-title heavyweight showdown with long-time amateur rival Dillian Whyte on December 12.

‘Celtic Warrior’ Carroll is the latest addition to the Sky Sports Box Office-screened card, which is being put together by Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing and features Cork middleweight Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan in a final eliminator grudge match against Chris Eubank Jr. for the division’s WBA title.

It’ll be the 23-year-old’s third appearance since winning the lightweight Prizefighter at York Hall last year and he will be looking to add to his (8-0, 1 KO) record on a big stage.

Elsewhere on the card, Tony Bellew will face Mateusz Masternak of Poland in a cruiserweight world title eliminator in which the vacant European crown will be on the line, while Martin J Ward is set to defend his WBC International super featherweight title.

Lightweight duo Kevin Mitchell and Luke Campbell are also set to feature in separate contests.
